This article is about anxiety attacks

Anxiety, anxiety attacks, stop anxiety attacks, How to stop anxiety attacks, panic attacks, stop panic attacks

Panic attacks can effect your quality of living and drag you down from doing the things you enjoy. If you have ever experienced a panic attack, then you know the feeling of terror that accompanies them, as well as the crippling fear that it might happen again. If you are one of the three million Americans who have had multiple panic attacks, you should know that there are ways to control panic attack symptoms.

The symptoms are similar to a heart attack, and a sensation that you have lost touch with reality and an impending dread often accompanies the physical symptoms. While you might end up in the emergency room the first time, this is not adequate treatment. In order to control panic attack symptoms, you need to help prevent them in the first place.

Options

One option is to consult a physician about getting treatment Some medicines on the market can help panic attack sufferers from reoccurrences. Another option available is cognitive-behavior therapy. This method utilizes visualization, breathing and relaxation techniques to fend off the symptoms of a panic attack when they occur.

Another option that some sufferers choose to help control panic attack symptoms is to actually face the fears. For some, gradually confronting the situations that cause panic can help eradicate them. There is method to this treatment, and it should be undertaken under the care of a physician or therapist so as not to aggravate the problem.

Chronic panic attacks, known as Panic Disorder, are a serious medical condition that can drastically affect the quality of your life. Panic Disorder is not necessarily a permanent condition and it can be treated successfully. Knowing that there are treatments out there though should help you can beat those fears and control panic attack symptoms!

Results

By using the options that work for you to help control your panic attacks, you are able to live a life that is free of suffering from constantly being consumed with fear of your next panic attack. You can also use what you know to help others that may be in the same position you were in before you found the proper help.

Of course, encouraging someone to see their doctor is the best way to go, but because many people are afraid to seek professional help or because they are ashamed of their condition, helping them to learn breathing exercises and the like that have worked for you is something that can offer them at least a small amount of relief.

Your doctor is your best choice always when you are having trouble. He can make a correct diagnosis and get you started in the right direction to end your anxiety attacks. I have used a book and audios that have really made a difference. You can find the link at the top of my website.

Panic Attacks

Panic Attacks and Depression – You Shouldn’t Have to Suffer

Panic Attacks

Today depression and panic attacks a very common for millions of people around the world. On average, fourteen million Americans suffer from major panic attack and depression. Three million Americans suffer from panic disorder. It is very common for those with major depression to also have panic attacks and elevated anxiety levels. Because panic can mimic other disorders, such as hypoglycemia, heart problems, asthma and many more serious conditions, sufferers who have not been diagnosed with panic disorder can feel afraid and tentative about their health.

If you are having panic attacks, but are unaware, and are also suffering from depression, then the two can aggravate the other until proper treatment is realized. As depression is another difficult illness to properly diagnose and treat, it is imperative to actively find treatment that works for you.

The Results of Panic Attack and Depression

People suffering from depression will feel bored, sad, hopeless, sluggish, alone and unloved. They may suffer from insomnia, and will have elevated anxiety levels. Because of this elevated anxiety, people with panic attack and depression will often experience panic attacks on a normal basis. When someone has more than one panic attack, they can develop a phobia towards the situation, or a fear to return to a specific place. Add in an already depressed view of the world, a worry that others find no worth in you, and you have a recipe for one miserable person.

Health care professionals are learning that the instances of panic attack and depression coinciding together are more common that thought. While not everyone who is depressed will have panic attacks, many people who suffer from panic may very well be depressed. There are certain SSRI antidepressants on the market today that are specifically recommended for use in treating anxiety along with depression.

Many people who suffer from depression do not know it. When someone who experiences panic attack and depression has a panic attack, it can be very frightening. Oftentimes, people in the middle of panic attacks feel like they are going to die, or that will lose their minds and “go crazy? This can prevent some from seeking treatment, as they do not understand what is happening to them, and fear the worse.

When the panic attack is over and the sufferer feels normal again, they may not think anything of it until it happens again. Many people who suffer from panic attacks do not realize that they are not alone. A person who is experiencing panic attack and depression may feel especially overwhelmed and will aggravate the situation by worrying and inflating the scenario in their mind. They may feel hopeless to the point where they cannot see how treatment would be effective.

Treatment for depression with panic attacks is available and very effective. Through any combination of medication, cognitive-behavior therapy and relaxation techniques, sufferers can gain control of their lives back.

The first thing you always want to do is see your doctor and discuss the symptoms and trouble that you are having. Your doctor will get you on your way to resolving your trouble.

Narcolepsy, health, disorders, diseases

Most commonly, Narcolepsy presents itself as an illness called EDS ?Excessive Daytime Sleepiness. This is the persistent feeling being tired, lacking real energy and wanting to sleep. The sufferer has to make concerted efforts to remain awake, but even if he or she is able to do so, it is often only to achieve a semi-wakeful state that onlookers often describe as ‘trance like?or as if the individual is ‘on auto pilot? At unfortunate moments, the feeling can be so strong that it appears to anyone looking on that the sufferer may be drunk. Typically, people suffering from Narcolepsy and Excessive Daytime Sleepiness need to have a period of sleep before attempting and specific task. Failing to prepare in this manner can result in a sudden attack of sleep while performing said task. EDS is regularly treated with stimulants, such as Ritalin, in America. This drug helps to stimulate the central nervous system to keep the individual alert and awake. Other newer drugs are in development that work as similar ‘wake promoters? The second main characteristic of narcolepsy is cataplexy, the sudden loss of control over the muscles in your body. This can vary in severity from individual to individual, and most good doctors suggest that if the symptoms are not severe enough, treatment should simply be avoided. The drugs commonly used to treat this problem are those in the antidepressant range. Cataplexy is not directly linked to depression, but the side effects of these drugs happen to affect the neurological pathways that themselves cause cataplexy. These drugs are usually either tricyclic agents, or Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, SSRIs. Paralysis during sleep and hallucinations can also be left without treatment from drugs unless they are particularly severe or extreme. As they typically only occur during the night, they cause less of a problem to the sufferer. Regardless, the treatments for cataplexy will usually also reduce the severity of these two auxiliary symptoms. Strong advice comes from other sufferers of narcolepsy ?take naps! There is good clinical evidence that taking some frequent naps during the day will help offset the symptoms of EDS and cataplexy. Many claim that simply sleeping for a few minutes at a time before performing a task can guard against a sleep attack happening during that task.

PCP (Phencyclidine) also known as dust, rocket fuel, and wack is a very dangerous drug. This article talks about the history and development of this drug, its side effects and symptoms. PCP abuse should be fought against and understanding drug testing methods for testing and detecting PCP is an important tool for that.

Phencyclidine,whack,addiction,drug,testing,screening,drug problem,teenager abuse,workplace,tests

What is PCP, exactly? While developed during the 50’s to be used as anesthesia, phencyclidine, or PCP, has never made it to the market for human use. Due to the erratic side effects, it was deemed illegal. Now going by such street names as angel dust, rocket fuel, and wack, PCP is sold as an illicit substance, and a very dangerous one at that.

Effects of PCP

People who use PCP experience different sensations. Most commonly, users experience a disassociation of time and space from where and when they are at the current moment. While high on PCP, a person may feel weightless, euphoric or even experience hallucinations. Many times, abusers of this drug suddenly feel paranoid due to disturbing hallucinations.

While people use PCP to get high, they often do not expect the severe side effects that can come along with it. For instance, a bad reaction to angel dust could include seizures, violent aggressiveness and even death.

PCP Abuse

PCP can be used in many ways, including swallowing the drug in pill or capsule form, or drinking a liquid. The PCP drug can also be taken through injection or by snorting it in powder form. PCP is also combined with other drugs to create even more dangerous substances, one of which is called “killer weed?which is a marijuana joint laced with PCP. The process of adding PCP to another drug is called “dusting.?

Signs of PCP Abuse

While many of the effects of PCP are only noticeable to the user of the illicit substance, there are many indications that can make someone high on PCP fairly obvious, such as slurred speech, involuntary movement of the eyes, dizziness, amnesia and many of the symptoms of schizophrenia. In fact, some people who experience adverse reactions to PCP can become psychotic to the point where their symptoms are identical to those of schizophrenia.

How to Test For PCP Abuse

Drug testing can be used to detect the abuse of PCP. While many people are opposed to drug testing because they feel it imposes upon individual rights, the fact of the matter is that drug abuse causes major problems in American society. Whether it be in the workplace or on the home front, PCP drug abuse can wreck lives, destroy companies and even kill. To prevent these atrocities from happening, PCP drug tests can be used to answer your questions about “are they or aren’t they??and take the first step in the right direction toward rehabilitation.
Employers especially need to consider PCP drug testing. Drug use in the workplace creates an unsafe environment for both employer and employee. Accidents are more likely to happen, more sick days are taken and the costs to the company are innumerable. By creating a drug testing program to detect illicit substances such as PCP, the workplace can be a much safer place, and will live up to its full potential.

PCP use is cause for concern the family as well. If you suspect drug abuse in your home, especially that of angel dust, purchasing a drug testing kit may be the best option for you. That lingering suspicion of whether or not your child is using can be troublesome. Testing your teen for PCP now, can help ease your worries and set them on the right track for life-one without the interference of drugs.

While it is arguable that depression is not always preventable, there are many cases, when using the following ideas, will keep you in good spirits – most of the time.

health, healthy, fitness, depress, depressed, depression, help, out, prevent, preventing, formula, formulas

While it is arguable that depression is not always preventable, there are many cases, when using the following ideas, will keep you in good spirits – most of the time. Unfortunately, we cannot be happy all of the time, but there is something we can do about it.

Working with a variety of clients over the years, I have seen how Yoga and exercise changed, and continue to change, them for the better. It is a well-known fact that endorphins are produced from a variety of exercise routines, including gentle Hatha Yoga.

Endorphins reduce stress and enhance good moods. Just that information alone is enough to start an exercise program, but weight control, muscle-tone, circulation, flexibility and a variety of other health benefits, should be an incentive to start a mild exercise program.

If you have been inactive, I suggest a beginner Yoga class with a very mild-mannered Yoga teacher. Without pushing this any further, let’s look at other options to start, and things to avoid.

Participate in social activities, support groups, senior centers, or local church activities. The activities could be in your local mosque, temple, or shrine, as well. There is always an activity that you can find around any religious center.

You could also join a league for golf, tennis, fishing, bowling, bocce, or any other activity where people gather to share a few laughs. Take competition in stride, and don’t take anything too serious.

Many social groups also function as support groups. The collective activity is good for all involved. Stay away from “alcohol drinking?clubs. This is not just bars, or nightclubs, but local clubs, who organize for the common good, and then, routinely get together to drink.

There is a conflict here, in that alcohol is a depressant, and if you are prone to depression, this is not a good combination. On top of that, there are plenty of health problems that accompany alcohol abuse.

Substance abuse is not a solution to depression, and you won’t find a purpose in life through it. So, let’s keep it simple and stay away from drinking alcohol – altogether.

If your friends and family abuse alcohol, they need counseling, and you will have to look outside your normal circles to get guidance. You need to surround yourself with positive and energetic people.
Also, don’t hang around your house too much, especially in dark or unlit areas. Get outside, take a walk, go shopping, get a little sunlight, and if you are in the house all day, open the curtains during daylight hours. If you have a sunroom to relax in – that’s good, too. Lack of sunlight can cause elevated levels of melatonin, which is sometimes called the “sleep hormone.?
Lastly, visit the self-improvement section of your local bookstore. It is a hidden treasure within itself. This is a great reason to leave the house.

Audio books are also good for traveling in your car or listening to in your sunroom. Pick out books that really captivate your imagination. If your local bookstore has CD’s, you may want to pick up some relaxing music for your ride home.

The Greatest Teacher that ever lived once said: “As a Man thinks in his heart so is he? What you constantly think of a situation is quite inevitably what becomes of it, therefore it is paramount that in any and every situation our thinking should be positive. Let’s see how we can accomplish that.

Dealing with depression

The Greatest Teacher that ever lived once said: “As a Man thinks in his heart so is he? What you constantly think of a situation is quite inevitably what becomes of it; therefore it is paramount that in any and every situation our thinking should be positive.

If there is one fact that religion, science and psychology seem to agree on, it is that the mind is indeed the most powerful force in the world. Yoga sages have stated that whoever can control the mind is indeed a powerful human being.

That said, it is obvious that in coping with stress and dealing with depressive situations, one should make every step to think positively as perhaps the first weapon to combat negative challenges.

Friends, everything starts with a thought.

Moreover, thoughts have the innate ability of phenomenally materializing into what it is that is projected in your mind. Consequently, it will be safe to say we should all make attempts to change our mental habits to belief instead of disbelief as much as possible. This of course will be most paramount when seeking ways to overcoming depression.

Characterized by feelings of worthlessness, doubt, pessimism, if we allow depressive thoughts to constantly permeate our minds, they could actually gain the ability to diffuse into our speech and actions and consequently could aggravate the very situations and challenges one is facing that may be causing depressive thoughts in the first place.

When dealing with problems arising from depression, the famous psychologist-William James has this cryptic quote to say: “Our belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking or challenging situation is the one thing that insures a successful outcome at the end?
This reminds me of another powerful verse in the Bible found in Mark 4 verse 23: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes?

Combining the gist and effect of both quotes, one can see that it is imperative to believe in and expect the best in any situation one may be going through. In so doing you will bring everything into the realm of possibility and success.

In no way does this mean that we should sit back and just expect things to miraculously change. It means we must change our thought processes about our situations first, perform the actions that will lead us to and keep us on the path to success at overcoming our challenges and as words, thoughts and actions have an effect on each other as factors, one is also advised to constantly speak positively about what challenges one may be facing.

Combining all three factors will greatly help in making sure each component (most importantly our thoughts) remains positively tuned towards overcoming our depression.

My friends, although it may not always be an easy journey to overcome our challenges, I would like you to remember this quote as well “Life’s problems are like knives, which either serve us or cut us, as we grasp them by the blade or the handle: Grasp a difficulty or problem by the blade and it cuts; grasp it by the handle and you can use it constructively”

Take the quote above into consideration and keep it in mind my friend as THE reason to constantly have faith and to hope for the best when it comes to dealing with depression. It is perhaps the one thing that will ensure success at the end.

Suffering in silence is not the answer

over compulsive disorder,Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, obsessive compulsions, mental therapy potion, intrusive repetitive thoughts,

Over compulsive disorder affects people in many different ways – at least 2% of the population are being driven to despair trying to cope with this disorder. The symptoms differ for each individual – some more so than others where severity of the condition has encouraged a patient to become a hostage to their own thoughts.

No Matter how rebellious a sufferer is when trying to fight and control their actions and thoughts – they sometimes find it easier to let those intrusive obscene thoughts continue and suffer in silence. Repetitive compulsions have to be carried out by a sufferer to find solace.

Daily duties and rituals performed by an over compulsive disorder sufferer is often seen by the outsider as odd. Strange behaviour patterns from a person suffering from OCD will never be understood by the sane outsider as they see themselves next to an oddball.
Behaviour patterns of an obsessive-compulsive disorder victim can cause so much havoc and misery in that person`s life – to an extent when they feel they can not go on and in some cases that has been the case where suicide was the only way out.

Over compulsive disorder can instigate a flare up of depression where sufferers experience anxious moments if their compulsions or repetitive actions are prevented from being performed. When OCD begins to meddle with your everyday activities then it is time to seek help because it is now turning serious affecting how you live your life.

Doctors dedicated to this mind meddling disorder once believed that OCD was a condition rarely heard of – but in fact it is now becoming more common than other mind or mental ailments – namely bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. It is said that in the US there are over 3 million people suffering from over-compulsive disorder. Parents should be aware that children can also be affected by OCD so if you notice any unusual change in your child`s ways then talk to a doctor. This disorder is known to stem from childhood.

Do not be alarmed at the fact that there is no known cure for this complaint because there are remedies to help control the symptoms that are slowly tearing your world apart. Treatment is available also medical advice to treat your nonsensical behaviours – but as senseless as these behaviours may seem it is still a difficult task to liberate your self from them alone.

Unwanted behaviours can be sedated and calmed with the right medicinal potions or therapy.
Medical staff show uncertainty to the reasons behind and exact cause of OCD. Research says the cause is biological, while others beg to differ believing this disorder is a learned behaviour. Facts state that the chances are increased of you developing over compulsive disorder if a close relative or family member be a victim. However, it has not been proven or identified by researchers that genes are guilty to this being a hand me down illness.

Consult your doctor if you or a member of the family is showing signs of this disorder or any other illness – by not talking to someone can only add more pain and suffering.

Panic attacks is one of the most frequently experienced disorders in the world. It is estimated that 4 or 5 out of a hundred people are severely affected by it, in one way or another.

panic attacks, panic disorder book, panic attack book, anxiety and panic attack treatment

Panic attacks is one of the most frequently experienced disorders in the world. It is estimated that 4 or 5 out of a hundred people are severely affected by it, in one way or another. Because of panic attacks, a casual mood can turn into an eye-popping, jittery, can’t sit-still-on-the-chair mood, like what a husband feels when he’s eagerly waiting for his wife to give birth to their child.

A “little?anxiety is not a bad thing. It helps protect you from harm or potential danger, real or imagined, like other emotions. Let me explain.

Human beings are the most fascinating and intriguing creatures on earth.

The most pronounced reason why we dominate the animal kingdom is because of the way the human brain functions. One of the most distinctive features of the human being is the ability to have feelings. Although we do not necessarily conclude that animals do not have feelings, as evidenced through research on the way they react to certain situations, human feelings have the depth and significance that go far beyond what animals can attain.

For feelings that deliver us good, we expound ways to improve it further. For feelings that deliver us harm and pain, we also try to minimize it or get away from it as much as we can. Anxiety is no exception. There is no need to totally eradicate harmful feelings because at least some of them are not 100% harmful. In small ways they also do us goo. The idea is to control and not be controlled. Let us take fear as an example

Fear, as you know, is one of the most infamous feelings we have as human beings. It is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) deterrents to our success. Yet in spite of the negative perception we may have about fear, it also has its little good side. Fear prevents us from getting hurt, both physically and emotionally. The “little?fear inherent within us is actually good for us. We need that “little?amount of fear. It prevents us from getting too aggressive.

The same is true with panic. A “little?panic can serve as a form of defense. But being engulfed with excessive panic may hinder you from performing your normal activities and may deter you to take action especially on not-so-common activities.

However if you have only one option to facing a panic attack, like it or not, you have to find the right approach to contain such attack and suppress this discomforting feeling.

Panic attacks are actually a product of the mind, an imagination of a perceived threat or danger that can be controlled. In reality, such danger does not exist. Even the worst scenario that you can perceive under these circumstances are not life threatening.

Life is too short to be preoccupied with anxieties that hinder your growth. Find out more about how to eliminate panic and anxiety in the book “How to eliminate anxiety and panic forever? on Ahmed Qubia’s site http://free.hostdepartment.com/p/panicaid/index.html

Due to the nature of the depression economies that were built around industry were hit the hardest.

For almost 10 years, from 1929 to the late into the 1930’s the word went into a massive economic decline. The entire world was hit with the decline, however the most industrialized nations were hit the hardest. These nations included the United States, Europe and Japan. Due to the nature of the depression economies that were built around industry were hit the hardest.

Although every industry was during these years, industries such as agriculture were hit less hard due to the fact that they remain basic necessities no matter what the economic situation of an economy is. This doesn’t speak true however for industries such as construction which come to a complete halt when there is no economic activity.

The two main causes for the great depression was the vast unequal distribution of wealth during the 1920’s as well as extensive stock market speculation that started to take prominence the the later 1920’s. Imbalance in wealth creates a largely unstable economy, and this resulted in several parts of the world. During the 1920’s because it was the biggest boom the United States economy had ever seen, the stock market, despite speculation, remained artificially high. Once the legs fell out from underneith the stock market, the unstable economy (created from the maldistribution of wealth) made the entire economy of America to collapse.

America right now looks to be headed in the same direction once again: the gap is growing between the rich and poor, and we are again in a major bust where we the majority of us are living beyond our means. Will history repeat itself? Are we smart enough to avoid another great depression? These are both questions that we will probably see answered in our lifetime.

A brief introduction to bipolar disorder, treatment and manic relapses.

bipolar disorder, manic depressive, mania, recreational drugs, caffeine, mood swings, bipolar depression

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a diagnostic category describing a class of mood disorders where the person experiences states or episodes of depression and/or mania, hypomania, and/or mixed states. Left untreated, it is a severely disabling psychiatric condition.

The difference between bipolar disorder and major depression is that bipolar disorder involves “energized” or “activated” mood states in addition to depressed mood states. The duration and intensity of mood states varies widely among people with the illness.

Fluctuating from one mood state to another is called “cycling” or having mood swings. Mood swings cause impairment not only in one’s mood, but also in one’s energy level, sleep pattern, activity level, social rhythms and thinking abilities. Many people become fully disabled, for some period of time, after being diagnosed, and during this time may have great difficulty functioning.

The vast majority of people diagnosed with suffer from depression. In fact, there is at least a 3 to 1 ratio of time spent depressed versus time spent in a normal mood or hypomanic or manic during the course of the bipolar I subtype of the illness. People with the bipolar II subtype remain depressed for substantially longer. Up to 37 times longer than bipolar I.

A 2003 study by Robert Hirschfeld, M.D., of the University of Texas, Galveston found bipolar patients fared worse in their depressions than unipolar patients.

In terms of disability, lost years of productivity and potential for suicide, bipolar depression is now recognized as the most insidious aspect of the illness.

Severe depression may be accompanied by symptoms of psychosis. These symptoms include hallucinations and delusions. They may also suffer from paranoid thoughts of being persecuted or monitored by some powerful entity such as the government or a hostile force.

Intense and unusual religious beliefs may also be present, such as patients’ strong insistence that they have a God-given role to play in the world, a great and historic mission to accomplish, or even that they possess supernatural powers. Delusions in a depression may be far more distressing, sometimes taking the form of intense guilt for supposed wrongs that the patient believes he or she has inflicted on others.

Treatment for Bipolar Disorder

Currently bipolar disorder cannot be cured but it can be managed. The emphasis of treatment is on effective management of the long-term course of the illness, which can involve treatment of emergent symptoms. Treatment methods include pharmacological and psychological techniques.

A variety of medications are used to treat bipolar disorder. Most people with bipolar disorder require combinations of medications.

Relapse of Bipolar Disorder

Even when on medication, some people may still experience weaker episodes or have a complete manic or depressive episode. The following behaviors can lead to depressive or manic relapse:

* Discontinuing or lowering one’s dose of medication without consulting one’s physician.

* Being under or over medicated. Generally, taking a lower dosage of a mood stabilizer can lead to relapse into mania. Taking a lower dosage of an antidepressant, may cause the patient to relapse into depression, while higher doses can cause destabilization into mixed-states or mania.

* Taking other psychotropic or recreational drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, or heroin. These can cause the condition to worsen.

* An inconsistent sleep schedule can destabilize the illness. Too much sleep can lead to depression, while too little sleep can lead to mixed states or mania.

* Excessive amounts of caffeine can cause destabilization of mood toward irritability, dysphoria and mania.

* Inadequate stress management and poor lifestyle choices. If unmedicated, excessive stress can cause the individual to relapse. Medication raises the stress threshold somewhat, but too much stress still causes relapse.

Are you hostage to your own thoughts. Out of sight out of mind. I dont think so

OCD, Over Compulsive Disorder,sufferer,ocd symptoms,health and depression,obsessive compulsions,over compulsive,victim disorder,doctors help,

Obsessions are the psychological element of OCD. Repeated thoughts and images linger in our minds where our over compulsive disorder takes control of our actions where we are silenced and forced to obey orders hence hostage to our own thoughts. Thus affecting and interfering with the way we would like to live our lives.

OCD over compulsive disorder can be beaten but what makes it difficult for the sufferer is being up against a regimented invisible force in which we find ourselves in a situation where we find it hard to resist their demands. That is why consulting a doctor is important. There are cases where a referral to a psychologist maybe imminent. Psychologists help ease your think pattern by providing professional understanding as to what is going on inside your head. So if you can not make head nor tail of why you do what you do then at least let someone who wants to help, do so.

People suffering with OCD do not enjoy the experiences brought on by these intrusive thoughts but are compelled to listen instead of eliminating There are so many different obsessions and compulsions carried out by over compulsive disorder victims. We have the hand washing ritual, we have the numbers game, we have the checker, what we dont have is the common sense to seek advice before the OCD takes claim of body and soul.

By not consulting a doctor we add to our problem. Why? We dont know, just like the way we dont know why we do what we do. OCD takes you hostage and holds you ransom to your own thoughts and until you let go then forever a prisoner you will be.

A wish come true for an obsessive compulsive disorder patient is to suffer an attack of amnesia. To live in a world of forgetfulness for a day has to be better than winning the lottery. To forget ever suffering from depression along with the other person who you know longer recognize as yourself is a sense of contentment that no amount of money can buy.

If all OCD symptoms were locked away in the closet does it mean we no longer yearn to carry out our repetitive actions, does it mean our compulsions and obsessions are now in the past, does it mean that it is over and we find peace of mind. I dont think so. Just because the OCD symptoms are behind closed doors does not mean out of sight out of mind.

If your health is giving you reason for concern then please act now and talk with a doctor so that you never yearn to live in the world of forgetfulness.
